MyBuilder

MyBuilder is a UK based web-marketplace for construction services. Homeowners get competitive bids through the site and provide feedback for the tradesmen they hire. MyBuilder charges tradesmen a ‘success fee’, so that everything is free for homeowners. Great builders are rewarded for excellent service and the bad ones are barred from the system.

Hypernumbers.com

Hypernumbers.com (formerly Playfair) are "doing to hypernumbers what hypertext did to text" - not putting a spreadsheet on the web but making a spreadsheet out of the web. Wherever you find "the temperature's rising, the plane's full, the price is dropping" you'll find hypernumbers.

Kublax

An online service revolution that will take the personal finance world from a numerical space to a visual space.It will effortlessly synchronize all personal financial data and presents the information in a user-friendly format providing an overview of incoming and outgoing cashflow. An associated social network will even allow members to compare spending habits.

Tablefinder

Tablefinder is a search and booking engine for restaurant tables. Operating in a fragmented market where you have to go to different sites to book different restaurants, the Swedish team brings all fragments together. Visitors and booking partners will have one channel access to all online bookable restaurants in the world.

Rent Mine Online

The Rent Mine Online model resembles that of eBay, but with individuals renting belongings instead of selling them. Based in Amsterdam, with a software company operating in Bulgaria, Rent Mine Online has integrated with Facebook, tapping into a trust network of 37 million people.

Zemanta

Out of Slovenia surfaces a web service API with the ability to look at content and decide what to do with it. Zemanta have created a ‘content intelligence’ platform to automatically enhance content, adding useful links, keywords and images which can be edited to make the material ‘web ready’.
