We at seedcamp love building things and we love entrepreneurship. We all love that feeling you get early in a project when you realize you’re onto a good idea and you feverishly work on it until you ‘carve’ your first iteration.

Hackathons are great fun and can lead to many cool companies being formed and created as a result of having many great minds together in the same area, fueled by passion, caffeine, and the buzz of the hacker hive, all working towards a common goal. However, sometimes, you just don’t know what to do.

What if you don’t have a great idea?

On the other end of the spectrum, large companies can sometimes desperately need that passion within their organizations to deal with pressing needs.

Our idea was, what if we could combine the two around a theme? What if we could bring talented developers from across Europe to create innovative solutions for organizations that desperately need them? Could this form great new companies that address untapped needs?

Well, seedcamp would like to find out, and to do that, we’re going to be running our first seedhack soon.
