🎯 About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role at the heart of Europe’s leading seed-stage VC. As a Finance Analyst, you’ll go beyond traditional fund administration and accounting—taking ownership of financial analysis, valuations, and performance monitoring of our portfolio of 500+ companies, including some of the most exciting startups in Europe.

We’re looking for someone highly analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to get hands-on with data to help inform strategic decisions that shape the future of Seedcamp. You’ll work closely with our Finance and Investment teams to ensure that we not only meet our regulatory and financial obligations but also gain deeper insights into our portfolio’s performance and valuation trends.

🧠 What You’ll Be Doing

📊 Financial Analysis, Valuations & Portfolio Insights

• Lead on the valuation process for over 250+ active portfolio companies, ensuring accurate and consistent methodologies across different stages and sectors.
• Analyse and assess portfolio company performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks that inform Seedcamp’s investment decisions.
• Develop models and dashboards to track financial and operational KPIs across the portfolio, ensuring that insights are readily accessible for internal and external reporting.

📈 Fund Operations & Reporting

• Support our fund administrator with the preparation and review of financial statements, capital accounts, and investor reporting.
• Manage drawdowns, distributions, and reconciliations with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate financial data at all times.
• Oversee audits and collaborate with external advisors to maintain seamless compliance across fund and management company entities.

🧾 Regulatory, Tax & Compliance Oversight

• Work closely with our compliance consultants, tax advisors, and auditors to ensure we meet all regulatory and filing obligations.
• Coordinate FATCA/CRS filings, UK tax and VAT returns, and US K-1 tax filings to maintain compliance across global jurisdictions.
• Monitor and report on capital requirements for Seedcamp as a Full Scope AIFM.

⚡️ Process Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency across fund accounting, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Implement new systems and workflows to ensure that Seedcamp remains at the forefront of best practices.

• ✅ Accounting Qualification – You hold a relevant qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with experience in management accounting, fund accounting, audit, or financial analysis.

• 🔎 Valuation & Performance Savvy – You have a keen understanding of valuation methodologies and are comfortable analysing company performance in a venture or private equity context.
• 💡 Tech-Savvy & Process-Driven – You’re comfortable using financial systems, AI tools, exploring new tech, and automating processes to improve efficiency.
• 🤝 Collaborative & Relationship-Focused – You enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders—from auditors and tax advisors to founders and investors.
