About me
I’m a former design founder turned Investor, Advisor and Coach. I’ve been involved with Seedcamp as a mentor since they started back in 2007. However it wasn’t till I sold my business in 2021 that I joined the team in a more permanent capacity; first as an Expert in Residence and then later as a full blown Venture Partner.
As a first time CEO I’m acutely aware of what it takes to found a company, find early customers, grow your team, build the right culture and put new processes in place. In fact I’ve just written a book on the subject, called The Growth Equation. As such I love helping founders avoid some of the more obvious mistakes, and shortcut the road to success.
From Day One
Coming from a design and product background I love helping founders understand their customers, figure out their product strategy and iterate towards product-market fit. I’m especially interested in the field of growth design and PLG.
With my CEO hat on I know how important it is to land your first 10, 100, 1,000 customers and then scale up from there. A big part of securing follow-on funding is about showing the right level of momentum and growth. As such I love helping founders with their GTM strategy; figuring out the right acquisition channels and honing their sales motion.
Of course, another big part of the founders job is building the system that drives the business. As such I enjoy helping founders plan their early hires, create new processes to help calm the chaos, define company culture, and deliver good governance. As a coach, I also love working with founders to help them manage their time, deal with stress and become the best leaders possible.
