About me
I joined Seedcamp as an intern in 2019 and I now spend most of my days trying to find and/or support the very best entrepreneurs coming out of Europe.
Prior to Seedcamp, I graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Cape Town before studying a Masters at Imperial College London. My first real taste of the tech world came during an internship at Google before two friends and I co-founded a startup tackling the inefficiencies around online clothing returns processes – giving me a practical glimpse into the rollercoaster ride that is startup life.
On a personal level, I was born in France but predominantly grew up in South Africa and Venezuela before moving to the UK. Outside of work, few things bring me more joy than playing football, travelling to new places, or surfing with friends when not stuck in London’s rain.
From Day One
I naturally index a lot more on the ‘who’ than I do on the ‘what’. I love getting to know a founders’ quirks, understanding what makes them tick, the why behind what they’re building and the size of the ambition they have – I find these things tends to be the the only constant in a state of early-stage startup flux. I get energy from getting to know the person behind the company deeply and from helping them accelerate their journey to product market fit – often via experiences we’ve lived through with the breadth of the portfolio we have.
