Now that Seedcamp Week is over, we are looking forward to our events in Budapest and Lisbon later in the year.

One none-Seedcamp event we are very proud to be involved with is the Pioneers Festival in Vienna. Besides their Startup Challenge, which allows startups to win  more than 25.000 Euros in support, the team has put together an incredible line up of speakers – no doubt topping the great event they have put on last year.

In both our own program and at our events, we take he view that startups can best learn from operators and successful entrepreneurs by hearing about the real work they do. We try and talk about not just the success stories and good days of a startup, but also about the trials and tribulations of building a startup. Startup Academy, a learning focused track at Pioneers Festival, is designed to drive home exactly those lessons.

Speakers include amongst others long time Seedcamp mentors Tom Hulme of IDEO, Colette Ballou of Ballou PR, Sean Ellis, Rob Fitzpatrick and stars such as Ash Maurya, Peter Vesterbacka, and Alex Osterwalder, the inventor of the Business Model Canvas.
