Nearly one in three people still forgo certain dental care, mainly due to information asymmetry. Oftentimes, patients lack clarity on the medical, financial, or administrative aspects of their journey.
On the other hand, thousands of healthcare professionals spend hours managing treatment plans, answering patient questions, and navigating exchanges with insurance companies, resulting in essential treatments being left unfinished.
Founded in 2025, La Fraise builds AI agents that support dental teams by automating repetitive and complex tasks. The platform aims to reinvent dental practice management and free up valuable clinical time.
Among the founders are four alumni of Doctolib – Cédric Turquem, Matthieu Kern, Victor Schubert, and Florian Duchêne – who were part of its early product, sales, and operations team and have spent more than eight years building one of Europe’s key players in healthcare innovation. Alongside them is Arnaud Assous, a serial entrepreneur who previously founded and later sold a tech company.
The Paris-based startup enables practitioners to inform their patients better, automate administrative tasks, and offer simple and accessible financing solutions, all while allowing them to focus on their core job: treating patients.
Arnaud Assous, co-founder of La Fraise, highlights:
“We have brought together an exceptional team to fight against the abandonment of care.
Healthcare providers spend too much time on administrative work. AI can finally give them that time back to care for patients.”
La Fraise focuses on four main drivers of dental care abandonment:
- Forgetfulness, with automated, personalized reminders sent at the right moment.
- Lack of clarity in documentation, by transforming treatment plans into simple, readable documents, both medically and financially.
- Lack of a digital engagement pathway, thanks to integrated e-signature flows and clear steps to approve care.
- Financial barriers, by offering integrated financing solutions (immediate, deferred, or in installments) and transparent information on out-of-pocket costs.
To deliver on its mission, La Fraise deploys a suite of AI agents capable of:
- Automating administrative tasks and treatment-plan follow-up,
- Communicating naturally with patients to answer their questions,
- Guiding patients with their insurance procedures,
- Recommending financing options tailored to each situation,
- Ensuring electronic signatures and regulatory compliance,
La Fraise integrates seamlessly with any existing dental software without requiring workflow changes. This comprehensive approach enables practitioners to gain more than an hour daily and increase their treatment-plan acceptance rate by 20 percentage points, while also offering their patients a more transparent, smoother, and more accessible care experience.
In just six months, La Fraise has become a go-to solution for dental practices in France. More than 1,200 dentists in France are already using La Fraise, with 250 new practitioners joining each month. La Fraise’s customer base included Paris Dental Studios, GAD in Bordeaux and Sana Oris in Paris, alongside many independent practices throughout France.
Since launch, more than 30,000 treatments have been facilitated by La Fraise. Thousands of patients have ultimately accepted treatments they would otherwise have postponed or abandoned. La Fraise demonstrates that simplifying the care pathway and ensuring financial transparency have a direct impact on reducing care abandonment.
Dr. Clément Gesquière, Dental surgeon and La Fraise partner, comments:
“My administrative and medical teams save an enormous amount of time every day. My patients love the online space with medical information reminders and financing solutions.”
On why we partnered with La Fraise, our investor, Felix Martinez highlights:
“La Fraise is an exceptional team of entrepreneurs on an important mission of democratising access to dental care in France and beyond. We are confident they can build a scalable business and become a key player in the European healthcare landscape, similar to Doctolib’s success story.
We are excited to participate in La Fraise’s €3,2 million funding round alongside 20VC, Kima Ventures, and expert dentists.
This new funding round will enable La Fraise to accelerate its mission to develop even more advanced AI agents for dentistry that further simplify the relationship between practitioners and patients, and to continue reducing care abandonment.
A presentation of the platform’s latest features will take place at the ADF2025 dental conference in Paris from November 25 to 29.
