Miru Labs raises $2.7M round to shape the future of cybersecurity investigations

10.09.2025

Generative AI is making cybersecurity attacks easier to create and harder to detect. Recent high-impact incidents have proven the urgency of adopting prevention and investigation solutions created specifically for the age of AI.

We are excited to lead the pre-seed round of Miru Labs from day one and support their mission of building the investigation platform for the AI era. Founded in 2024 in the Bay Area by cybersecurity veterans Eoghan McKee, Quang Pham and David Pigott, Miru provides a graph-native investigation platform that unifies sources into a living graph so analysts and agents can investigate and drive results for the most complex investigations.

Having led times and tackled the hardest cases in cyber, national security, and trust & safety at eBay, Uber, Meta, DocuSign, and US/EU governments, Miru Lab’s founding team came across a fundamental problem: analysts drowning in data, siloed tools, and no clear way to connect the dots.

Informed by these experiences, Miru are taking a different approach: a data first, and ontology-driven design. By structuring data into a knowledge graph, Miru gives AI the context to know which data to pull from, what tools to connect to, and how to reason across it. That deterministic structure brings clarity to the inherently nondeterministic nature of investigations, making them faster, sharper, and more reliable.

Miru’s Agentic Dispatch enables fully autonomous investigations that scale across alerts and domains. Agents triage, escalate, and counter-act guided by autonomous data extraction and your defined ontology. This results in fewer false positives, explainable actions, and truly preemptive defense. From the early days, Miru worked with some of the best analysts tackling the hardest investigations who have guided the early product build out.

Miru’s platform is open by design. Customers can plug in any source and even their own AI models to make investigations more powerful and flexible.

On why we partnered with Miru Labs, investor Will Bennett, highlights:

“We couldn’t be more excited to lead Miru’s pre-seed. Eoghan, Dave and Quang have the hustle and pedigree to build the defining investigations tool for the AI era. Right now, analysts jump between silo’d tools without the ability to definitively understand how alerts and issues correlate. Miru not only builds the knowledge graph to bind this information but also offers the copilot to drive investigative success. It’s no surprise that Miru is already in the hands of the most ambitious investigative analysts.”

We’re excited to co-lead Miru Lab’s $2.7M pre-seed funding round alongside Dreamcraft, Cadenza, with additional support from Inovia, Notion, and Alphagraph.
