On the 6th December we’re hosting the final Mini Seedcamp of 2011, and what better way to end the year than hosting Mini Seedcamp Paris in the same week as the brilliant Le Web! Some great mentors will be in town, and many will be joining us.

We’re also excited about teaming up with Le Camping to host a party during the evening courtesy of 360 Capital Partners. A great extension to the day event for networking informally with no doubt a well deserved drink in hand.

Here is a selection of a few big names who will be mentoring some of Europe’s hottest new companies:

2011 has been a great year for Seedcamp for loads of reasons. The number of startups applying to Seedcamp increases year-on-year, and 2011 has been no exception. We’ve also had numerous high calibre investors and funds joining the Seedcamp family. On top of that, lots of great new mentors have taken part in our events, new Mini Seedcamp locations, new sponsors and local partners have helped us make this our best year yet.

We’re therefore very excited to end the year with a bang at Mini Seedcamp Paris; we have over 70 incredible mentors, now we just need 20 awesome startups to complete the package.

This could be you! Are you building a super cool new web service? Are downloads of your mobile app going through the roof? Are developers chasing you to use your cool new tools? Answer yes to any of these questions and you should definitely apply to Mini Seedcamp Paris!

Applications are open until midnight Wednesday 16th November so make sure you don’t miss out.

We look forward to seeing you in Paris!

On the 16th November we’ll be hosting our penultimate Mini Seedcamp of 2011.  This year startups seems more keen than ever to participate in the unique opportunity to be mentored by over 70 European key players in the fields of entrepreneurship, VC’s, biz dev and corp dev.

As always we’re excited to announce the line up of the awesome teams who’ll be joining us in Barcelona:

A couple of noteworthy things, 10 geographies are represented, with teams traveling from as far as India, Israel and Moscow. Secondly this is certainly one of the strongest local representatives we’ve seen at any Seedcamp this year with a whooping 6 Spanish teams! We were also very pleased to see that pitch.me made it into the top 20 teams. Pitch.me was created at our First (and so far only) Seedhack event on September 23rd.

We look forward to seeing you all on the 16th November in Barcelona! We also want to thanks ESADE, who is hosting us for the day, and eDreams, the leader in cheap flights, who are inviting the teams for drinks afterwards.

Seedcamp Prague is our first Mini Seedcamp to take place after Seedcamp Week and we’re looking forward to see some new faces in October. This year the strength and quality of applications has increased with each event we’ve hosted so we had high expectations for Prague. Perhaps it’s due to startups not been able to apply to a Mini Seedcamp since August or maybe it’s down to the location? Either way we’ve been blown away by the demand, so far we’ve received more application for Mini Seedcamp Prague than for almost all other events this year. If this is anything to go by Mini Seedcamp Prague is going to rock for sure! Mini Seedcamp Prague is taking place on the 20th October and we have a great list of mentors joining us who are looking forward to meeting the top 20 selected teams. To give you a small teaser as to who could be mentoring you here are some of the mentors joining us:
If you have a kick ass startup and you want to be part of the this then don’t wait, the clock is ticking! Apply now (before Midnight tomorrow) and make sure you tell us why you’re the right team, are solving an important problem, and of course have a great product.
Applications close midnight BST, September 28th.

With Seedcamp Week around the corner, it is with great excitement that we open applications for Mini Seedcamp Prague today. We will find the first companies for the Seedcamp class of 2012 in October.

As always, we will have awesome Europe’s internet technology mentors invited, mentoring the participating 20 startups, giving their feedback to improve chances of success, and networking like crazy. Applications are open – go here and apply to let us know about your company and team. The deadline is 28 September, and as we’ve seen time and again – it’s a good idea to finish your application early, so you don’t have to rush it on the last day (or even through the night).

Prague is in a great location to attract founders from all over Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. If you are working on a company or cool product in Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia, the Baltics, you are in the right place. Judging by the quality of applications for Seedcamp London in July (and Ljubljana in June), the Balkan states will also supply a large part of applicants, as will France and the UK, as we’ve come to expect. After all, it’s just a short flight away, and the mentors will be from all over Europe.

We’re partnering with Startupyard and TechSquare, and Seedcamp Prague will be sponsored by Credo Ventures, White & Case and Google.

Why should you apply?

This will be our second visit to Prague and if it follows the trend of our other 2011 Mini Seedcamps the quality of teams and mentors simply gets better and better with each visit.  Then of course there is the fact of the Seedcamp Investment, year-long support, and access to the founders’ pack of offers from our Seedcamp Founders Sponsors.

Find out more about our process on our new website, read up on how to prepare a kick ass application, and make sure to apply on time for Seedcamp Prague – Deadline is 28th September

Seedcamp London - The Audience

On the 14th August we hosted our second Mini Seedcamp London event this year. In the run up we received a record number of applications – it was very exciting to see the numbers and quality rise once again.

The lecture room at UCL was full to the brim when we kicked off with twenty awesome teams presenting. That followed with a panel discussion: ‘From Business Dev to M&A’ by Anil Hansjee, Tom Allason,  Glyn Britton and  Christian Hernandez  moderated by  our own Carlos. Besides discussing the different items of importance from a startups’ point of view, we had some really great insights into the corporates’ point of view.

After lunch the teams and mentors got down to the ‘real work’ in the exhausting and intense mentoring sessions – as always, the rooms were humming and it was hard to put an end to the discussions.

Three new Seedcamp companies – just in time for Seedcamp Week!

We’re very excited to announce three more teams who’ve joined the Seedcamp Family just in time for Seedcamp Week.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to UCL for hosting us, Complete Accounting Solutions for sponsoring the event, and all the mentors for joining us for the day. Right now, all the Seedcamp teams are gearing up for an exciting Seedcamp Week – merely two weeks to go until we kick off the yearly highlight!

Ongoing and massive thanks also to our annual sponsors Microsoft Bizspark, and Google, who make Seedcamp possible alongside our awesome investors.
